Being kind and caring regardless of human beings or animals is the same as loving the Lord. Compassionate EmbAr did something daring that no other person would risk doing. PeNpiLLai is worried about not having a prominent quality of a Sri VaishnavA, which is, being empathetic to other living beings.

KUrathAzhwAn led a life consistent with the teachings of KrishnA in the Bhagavad GItA. His son ParAsara Bhattar, is renowned for having exceptional abilities and intelligence even at a very young age. PeNpiLLai describes an incident where Bhattar, as a little boy, used his insight, and humbled a proud old scholar.

Only the Supreme God is permanent among all that exists in the universe. A person with constant thoughts about Him will be bestowed with all the needs and even more. KAsi Singan, a Vishnu bhakthA was enthralled by something temporary and got into trouble. VedA pAtti narrates how he regained consciousness. Listen!

Blessings of Goddess MahAlakshmi are essential for a bhakthA. However, blessings of an AchAryA who is filled with the grace of Goddess MahAlakshmi are much more essential. We have heard about JatAyu who sacrificed his life to save Goddess Sita. PeNpiLLai unfolds the story of a woman who, disregarding the value of her own life, jumped into the river to save the life of her AchAryA.

Referring to ourselves as "AdiyEn'' will help us to let go of our superiority attitude. In Srivaishnava sampradaya, at times to show profound reverence a Srivaishnava will prostrate to the feet of another Srivaishnava younger to them. While it is difficult to observe detachment as an individual, the story of ThirunaraiyUr araiyar makes us wonder, how he observed it along with his family? "To prosper in life, surrender to the feet of SwAmi RAmAnujA". PeNpiLLai narrates a story that exemplifies this tagline of Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya. KUrathAzhwAn regretted being a scholar, after witnessing a person receiving special attention from SwAmi RAmAnujA. Who was that person? Did he acquire something more than what KUrathAzhwAn possessed? In the olden days, an AchAryA would expect his aspiring student to be highly enduring and enthusiastic in learning. Only after many assessments he would choose his students. In order for us to learn the values from both the AchAryA and his student, PeNpiLLai recounts an incident from ThirukkOshtiyUr Nambi's story, where his student gave a transition to the conventional way of teaching.
